Accommodations

How to request an adjustment so you can take a simulation in fair conditions.

Simulations measure demonstrated skill, and that measurement is only honest when the conditions are fair for you. If you need an adjustment to take a simulation fairly, you can ask for one, and asking never affects your standing or your score.

How to request one

On the preparation screen before any simulation there is a link to request an accommodation. Tell us what would help, for example a text-based alternative, extra time, or room for the assistive technology you use. You can leave contact details if you want a reply by email or phone. Requests go to our team, and a person reads and answers every one.

You can also write to hello@luminid.org at any time, before or after an attempt.

Voice simulations specifically

Some simulations require a spoken response because speaking in real time is an essential function of the role they verify, live sales calls for example. Even then, voice is scored on substance, never on accent or fluency. If a spoken response is not accessible to you, request an accommodation before you begin. An alternative may be available, and you will not be penalized for asking.

What to expect

An accommodation request is a conversation with our team, not an automated decision. We will tell you honestly what we can adjust, what we cannot, and why. If you already attempted a simulation under conditions that were not fair for you, mention it in the request and we will look at it.
